The 2022 Nautalais are one of the best 240 bats for holding compression. You'll need a good 200+ swings to get them broken in (they won't feel very good at first), and then they stay in that 270-240 psi compression window for a long time. These have alloy handles, creating a stiff/rigid feel - but man do they hit the ball hard. They also have a super smooth weighting and a near-perfect grip/handle/knob setup. The Nautalai comes in a bunch of different shapes/sizes this year, but we think that the longer barrelled versions are actually the best ones (even though the short-barrels tend to sell the best).
These are probably the most underrated 240 bat in slowpitch right now. While these aren't known for holding their compression PSI, they have a super responsive and forgiving barrel that hits the softer Pro-M ball very well.
We are the first and only baseball and softball bat enhancement company to employ our field of sports engineering, physics, biomechanics and sports science. It's no longer enough to describe us as a bat shaving company, although we do use shaving as one of our many services. We are literally re-engineering bats by deconstructing them and putting them back together in a way that greatly enhances their performance. We have evolved with the new science and technology of today's sophisticated bat designs. If you are simply paying someone to shave your bats you are leaving a ton of performance on the table.
Our focus at Pure is to provide our customers with the hottest bats accepted by softball sanctions. We consistently push ourselves to produce the best possible bats in the game by researching and developing new technology to always keep our customers ahead of the competition. Whether you customize your bat or pick one off the shelf, when you buy a Pure bat, you can always be confident that your bat is the best you can get.
What We Liked: This slow-pitch softball bat weighs 28 ounces, has a 14-inch barrel length and is made for adults playing competitive and recreational softball. It is made with thinner walls and has Eflex technology alloy composition.
Younger and smaller players can benefit from higher drop weights, as this can increase bat speed. Fast-pitch bats are usually measured by drop weight. These bat lengths range from 28 to 34 inches, and slow-pitch bats are usually about 34 inches.
This stamp is very similar to the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) Fastpitch stamp though it is only for slowpitch softball bats. They must pass the 98 MPH exit speed test as well. Many leagues use the ASA slowpitch softball stamp.
Similar to the stamp for fastpitch bats, the USSSA slowpitch stamp is a popular one to have or need. Just like for fastpitch, USSSA allows for higher performance than ASA so a USSSA only stamp bat will typically be hotter than a bat with an ASA stamp.
If you want to take your performance to the next level, the solution is getting one of the best slowpitch softball bats out there. This is not an easy choice to make, which is why we are presenting you with an in-depth buying guide. Take a look at the factors you should consider, as well as the list of currently the best value deals for slowpitch bats on the market.
If you are lightweight, the general rule of thumb is to go with a light bat, and if you feel like you have the necessary hitting power and swinging strength to handle a heavy bat, go with it. At the end of the day, it only depends on your preference. Keep in mind that light bats do not require a lot of force for swinging, but their natural pop is limited. Heavy softball bats may be tough to swing but they have an admirable pop. It may be a good idea to experiment with both types before you pick the most suitable one.
When it comes to materials used to design softball bats, you will mostly encounter composite components, such as a mixture of graphite and carbon fibers. While they offer an excellent pop, their durability is somewhat limited and depends on how often you play.
You can also go with alloy softball bats. These last longer, but there is that feeling of stiffness when ball contact is made. Players can also pick a mixture of alloy and composite materials, which delivers a durable bat that you can rely on.
Finally, there is the option to pick wooden softball bats, which are mostly made from maple or bamboo. Although they are durable and strong, keep in mind that there are only particular leagues that allow these types of bats.

There are two types of softball: slow pitch and fastpitch, or fastpitch softball. The game is in the basic the same, but there are a few key differences. The ball is designed a bit distinctly because the pitch in fastpitch softball is much faster. Because the ball is different it is important to make a difference between bats as well. Fastpitch softball bats are designed to hit balls that travel more than 60mph.
The length of the two types of bats is almost identical. Slowpitch softball bats are almost always 34 inches in length. Fastpitch bats have a wider range; they may be slightly shorter, going from 32 inches to 34 inches. The barrel of both of these bats is on the narrow side, with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches.
There are several associations that support fastpitch softball. You should know that these associations and leagues they represent may have different rules and regulations, so we recommend that you check the rules of your league before you start playing or buying equipment. The associations that support fastpitch softball are: International Softball Federation (ISF), Amateur Softball Association (ASA), North American Fastpitch Association(NAFA), National Club Softball Association (NCSA), National Softball Association (NSA), Independent Softball Association (ISA), International Softball Congress (ISC), United States Fastpitch Association (USFA), the USSSA, and PONY Softball.
Gloves are worn by all members of the defensive team and they come in various styles and sizes. They are made with leather or some other kind of durable fabric. Gloves and mitts differ depending on the position of the player. Gloves for fastpitch softball are similar to baseball gloves, but they can be larger, up to 14 inches from top to bottom.
Fastpitch softball uniforms usually include a shirt, undershirt, properly fitted undershorts, baseball socks, cap, visor, and shorts. Baseball caps and headbands are optional for women. Fastpitch softball shoes are also part of the uniform. They may have cleats or spikes that are strictly regulated by the governing bodies in fastpitch softball.
Fastpitch softball is a really fast game, which is why the bat must be fast and powerful. Fastpitch bats can be constructed as a one-piece or a two-piece. A one-piece bat is stronger and stiffer, it is made for power hitters who swing with more speed and force. A two-piece bat is designed out of two pieces: handle and barrel. This gives the barrel the ability to flex more easily and provides a pop effect. The two-piece fastpitch softball bat can compensate for the lack of speed in your swing and can maximize your hitting skills. Depending on the material they are made with bats can be wooden, aluminum (or alloy), composite and hybrid.

There is a major transition going on for Suncoast/Adidas softball equipment in 2020 as Adidas bows out of the market and Suncoast takes its place. Suncoast is the newest member of the softball bat industry and has retained the same design, product engineering, manufacturing, and sales team that is responsible for the success of Adidas slow-pitch softball bats for the past several years.
One-stop shopping for the softball nut with slow-pitch league games and tournaments-men's, women's, and co-ed--never ending. They're closed just two weeks out of the year, during the Christmas and New Year season, much to the chagrin of the die-hards. There are four lighted fields, a full-service concession stand that no heart doctor would go near, ample seating, and a pro shop that offers everything from balls, caps, bats, and gloves to sportswear and name-brand medication for those blisters and pulled muscles suffered by the middle-age crazies. A family affair, the clientele includes mom, pop, and the kids most nights and weekends. And, hey, if you haven't caught on with a team, bring along your glove. Some team is always short-handed and desperate for someone to play right field in that 10 p.m. game.if (typeof apntag === 'object') {apntag.anq.push(function() {if (typeof Foundation.ApnAds.fillAds === 'function') {Foundation.ApnAds.fillAds()}})}Best Of DallasScenes2002Best PlaygroundNRH20 dnLoadScript(\" \", true); If you are willing to get wet and spend a little money for the privilege, the best water playground in the Dallas area is in North Richland Hills.
